Joined SSG in 1972, a hard core Udaygirian. School Captain in junior Wing, School Vice Captain in Senior Wing. Populary known as ' Prince'. Graduated from NDA 63 Delta. Commissioned in to the Navy in executibve branch. Instructor in NDA (same Squardron as cadet). Specialised in Anti Submarine Warfare. Commanded a Minesweeper in Mumbai. Attended 55 Defence Services Staff Course in1999-2000. Took prematured retirement on 30 November 2008. Joined TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) as AGM at Guwahati.

     Married to Alfarida, nickname Babli. Two children Raunaq & Tamanna, both studying in Faculty School in 9th & 6th respectively.
