We need to tap our members also. We are only 300+ members here out of our 5000+. Please ask your known ones to register their profiles.

Dear Diganta Da,

The school is completing almost 50 years and 40+ batches would have passed out of the school by now.

 

Though i dont have any data on this, but i am sure there would be people from each batch who's enrolled here.

 

A couple of people from each batch can take the responsibility of getting the maximum number of people from their respective batch to get enrolled here.

 

I can see only a handful of people from my batch in this forum...whereas 25-30 of our batch mates are in regular touch (the numbers could be higher.Utpal, correct me if i am wrong) !! I alongwith Utpal/Pranab Saloi (guys, am sure you wont mind me taking your names for this !!!) are willing to take up this responsibility for our batch (1988-1995)..

 

And i would like to call upon others to take similar initiatives for their batches...

 

Lets see ourselves touching a figure of at least a 1000 members by the end of this Calendar Year...

Thnx for your input. I hope you are keeping in the best of your health and spirit.
 
I also support the idea and exactly this is what I was discussing with Shri Bharadwaj Gogoi, a few hours ago. We need to identify one person from each batch and entrust responsibility upon him to organize get-togethers among them and actively associate with OBA and its chapters to follow. That’s how things would move much faster, I suppose.
 
I would like to request all the registered members to come forward and take the responsibility.
 
I understand your (including Pranab and others) effort to organize a get-together at Mumbai which did not materialised last year. I am confident that this year it would come up in a grand way with all of your effort.
 
We have an Executive Meeting on 4th Sept 2010 where most of the important decisions would turn up. If you have any issue, kindly suggest so that we can take up in the proposed Executive Meeting.

Nice to see your prompt reply.

As a first step, i am putting up a mail to our group in yahoo (ssg95@yahoogroups.com) to ask my friends to enroll in this forum. Am sure, this would help. Once we get to know the response/effect of the mail, we can take it up further.

 

And thanks for inviting suggestions for the Executive Meeting. I will speak to my friends in Mumbai/Pune and come up with suggestions, if any..

Dear Diganta,
 
                   It is really disheartening to know that  only  6% (six percent) alumni have  registered in the association.
There  must be something wrong. We shall have to draw more Alumni from theircocoon & strengthen our  Association .  B y mere  holding  a  Get -together  cum  family Meet  once in a year  won't rekindle our bonding.
we have to involve more  SSGians in the fold. We have to motivate  them. 
Things have changed - marriage, children, jobs, business and years have changed them - a lot of  hypocrisy has set in. Some of us have to take initiative  to  dilute these  hypocrisy.
 
 We have to proceed step by step … first step ….
 
Please Motivate SSGians living in different Towns to arrange Meet. Try to join them with more executives from main body. Update the happenings and share the nostalgic moments.
