Old Boys Association

Another demise in the OBA family. One of our senior brother Hitesh Das/ 672 from Mirza left us for heavenly abode on 13th May at around 2.30 AM at GNRC Hospital, Guwahati. He was suffering from a neurological problem.

With a heavy heart, I am to inform you about the untimely demise of our member Brig (Retd) Roop Jyoti Sharmah/ 302, son of Shri Ganesh sarma & Late Monica Sharmah left us for heavenly abode today morning at Military Hospital, Bangalaru. He was 58 years of age. He was from Raha , Nagaon. He joined Sainik School Goalpara in 1966 and commissioned to army in 1976. He was suffering from protracted illness. He leaves behind 2 daughters and a son besides his wife.

OBA has been felicitating the children of its members who has done exceedingly well in the Board Examinations for last couple of years (Both state & Central Boards).

As we are marching towards the grand celebrations of Golden Jubilee commencing from 2013 onwards, I would suggest OBA should try to collate all the names of the departed souls (teacher as wells as students) so that we don't forget to pay homage and pray for them prior to starting the fanfare.
